FAQ
Short answers about joining, paying and hosting on Rallyo.
Joining and playing
No. Rallyo is a website that works in your phone's browser. Your Player ID opens with a 6-digit code we email you, so there is no password to remember.
Pick a game on Tonight's Board or the map and tap Request to join. The host approves your spot. At the venue, show the host the 4-digit check-in code on your Player card.
No. The first time you ask to join a game, your Player ID is made on the spot with your name, email and level.
Tap Request to join on the tournament. For a fixed-pairing tournament, add your partner's name, and their email if you want the result on their Player ID too. For blind pairing, register solo and the host pairs you.
If the game is free or you pay cash, tap Cancel request while the host hasn't answered yet, or Can't go once you are approved, before the event ends (for a tournament, before it starts). A request paid by GCash can't be withdrawn on the site, so talk to the host.
Your request shows Not approved, and you can't ask again for that event. There are more games on the board and the map.
On your Player card: every request and where it stands, your check-in code, and any receipt you uploaded.
Tap Sign in, then on your Player profile choose I already have a Player ID, and enter the email you first joined with. We email you a code that opens it.
You start at the rating of the level you pick, from Newbie 2.00 to Pro 4.50. Each open play game a host records moves it 0.02, up for a win and down for a loss, and a finished tournament division moves it 0.02 for each win more than your losses. It shows as provisional until you have 5 scored games.
No. Ratings and standings come only from the scores hosts record on Rallyo. They are community estimates, not official rankings.
Paying
Yes. Rallyo takes nothing from any game: you pay the host the event's fee, never Rallyo. Featuring an event on Tonight's Board is free for hosts during launch.
The host chooses: cash at the venue, GCash to the host, or either. For GCash you upload your receipt with your request. It stays on your Player card, and only you and the host can open it.
Refunds are between you and the host. Rallyo never holds your money, so it can't refund it. See the Terms of use.
Hosting
Tap Request to host and tell us about your games. We check each request and email you a Start hosting free button and an access code once you're approved. During launch each approved host can post 3 open plays and 1 tournament free. Then approve requests, check players in and record scores from your Host ID.
No. Players pay you directly and Rallyo takes no commission. Featuring an event on Tonight's Board is free during launch.
Tap the host's name on an event to open their Host card. If the host added their Facebook link, it has a View on Facebook button.
Account and privacy
Yes. One email holds both a Player ID and a Host ID.
The site runs only over encrypted connections, and sign-in codes are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form. Receipts can be opened only by you and the host of that event. The Privacy notice has the details.
Email support@rallyo.ph from the address on your account and we delete it within 30 days. An account unused for two years is deleted automatically, after an email 30 days before. More in the Privacy notice.
Rallyo is for people 18 and over. A younger player can use it with a parent's or guardian's consent and supervision.
Venues
Courts are on the Rallyo map with their address and, when we know it, their rate. To become a partner venue or correct your listing, see For venues.
On the map: each court shows its address and its rate when we know it (otherwise "Ask the venue"), beside the games near it.
